I will not lay here like Maui and pretend that hitting10K was no big deal on Instagram. When I started my Instagram journey almost 2 years ago (that is right...2 years) I simply wanted a place where I can document my design updates and projects that I was working on for others. Little did I know that you could do so much more with Instagram. As I quickly started finding where "I belong" in the IG stratosphere, I learned so much from others in my "community". We talk a lot about building a community on Instagram and it is so very important if you want growth. I realized that I needed to just be myself, not be afraid of putting myself out there, and that I needed to be patient ( very patient). I grew my account organically, meaning; I did not buy followers or pay somebody to find me followers. It can be very discouraging at times and I thought of quitting this whole thing over and over. But, I knew there would be some sort of benefit in the end and I am finally benefitting from my account on IG. I hope you don't get discouraged and continue following your dream. But, if you are going to put yourself out there on the gram, it is vital that you find your "community" and focus on your niche. I think that is the #1 thing I learned about growth on IG. Making connections with people that share your interests is key and it makes it fun and worthwhile!
